If anything, the wonderful sonic qualities inherent to vinyl playback can become even more apparent when I listen to vinyl with headphones!I think that the problem of "vinyl noise" with either headphones or loudspeakers can be system dependent, though. Some systems have a way of accentuating vinyl noise more than others. The quality of your vinyl, your headphones, turntable, cartridge, and amplification stage have a lot do do with it.
We also have to consider the possibility that some people's ears are naturally more sensitive in the frequency range(s) that vinyl noise artifacts exist. So, some of us are always going to prefer the slightly more antiseptic (but quiet) sound of digital to the richer (but noisier) sound of analog.
