I have a tube/ss hybrid headphone amp/dac running into a pair of HD600's and I'm pretty happy with it. I tried the AKG Q701's and found them to be very smooth and with great highs, but lacking enough attack or presence for rock. Deal breaker. I have not tried the Grado sr125i, but I have heard that although the overall sound quality is great, the comport level is really low. The HD600's are really comfortable and the sound is great on all types of music, so I'm satisfied.

The right headphones for you will depend on your musical tastes and your tolerance for pain.
