I got interested in IEM earphones after buying several FiiO digital players. In fact, I've purchased several different IEM earphone models made by FiiO. Some of the FiiO earphones have as many as 5 or 6 drivers in each earpiece. They usually have one dynamic moving coil driver augmented by between 2 and 5 Knowles Balanced Armature drivers. Recently, FiiO came out with a new earbud style earphone with only one moving coil driver, but it sounds absolutely spectacular. I think it sounds slightly better than my Koss ESP/950 electrostatic headphones. At least it has more bass and the midrange and highs sound just as natural and realistic.
