I just got the Cavalli Tube Hybrid from "Drop" (formerly "Massdrop"), for $175.....

Using the SMSL Sanskrit 10th MK II (mouthful) DAC via computer's USB, feeding either HiFiMan Sundara or Audeze LCD-2 Closed 'phones, this to me is a very satisfying combination. The Cavalli amp provides the happy combination of "tube musicality" and resolution, at a reasonable price.

This amp should also provide enough voltage output to drive a high impedance (300 ohm) headphone. It provides 1 watt into 50 ohms, which equates to about 7 volts rms.
