RE: How could headphones have a "Deep House" sound?

All I can think of is Resonant and hollow..like an old pair of rat shack cans I had in the early 70's. Those rat shack cans had the same thing as a clock radio speaker in each hollow plastic cup and they rang like a bell. I remember when I filled them up with fiberglass and drilled a 3/8" hole for a "port" to the outside. Better but way too much 2.5K, even then. (with very "non-cultured" taste)

I kept them and they still sound horrid.

Adding---> the description has a probable meaning of "Disco bass" and Disco slam..if I read it right. Remember, it is all marketing. Whatever buzz words that associate them with something someone thinks they may like.
