I have the 160D version and have no complaints. I've only tried headphones for a few short bursts, but it sounded pretty solid. I don't know if this also applies to the non digital version, but mine has high and low headphones jacks. Maybe for people that have really sensitive headphones. Between the build quality, 24 click volume and high/low headphone outputs, there is just no way that you won't find the sound you're looking for.
