There's an endless, mostly idiotic, discussion of this issue on head-fi. It's hard to draw any conclusions, unless someone has commented on the gear you have.

The "word" is that you need an amp that puts out a lot of current. SS or hybrid amps with mofset output stages seem to be high on many member's lists, also DHT amps (300B, 2A3 and 45 power tubes). But there are also a lot of people that report success with OTL amps.

More recently, a number of people have been discussing the weaknesses of these cans...now that the warm glow is wearing out.
