on the train from DC to New Haven, CT listening to my Ipod Classic through Sennheiser over the ear Momentums on tracks ripped from CDs at full resolution and a few Itunes downloads. These phones are great sounding and comfortable. The bass is dynamic powerful when appropriate without being over the top. The mids are smooth and the high end is detailed and extended without any fatigue. The isolation is enough to enjoy the music, but I still know when the station announcement are made.
Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Meshell Ndegeocello from the Dedication to Nina Simone CD is playing while I type - Nice.
My previous phones were Shure IEMs which sounded great when properly seated in the ear, but not comfortable for extended periods.
