copper mesh driver cover on Grado SR60




I had modified my Grado SR60s removing the plastic grill which left them fully open. To protect he driver and small cables i installed some tight mesh copper with the idea that the copper would reduce any cosmic interference. I also locked the phones in place by applying heat shrink to the top of the metal bar holding the armature down in place. It also damps that bar.

I added a round plastic pads to the existing pads which get the pads up off my ears for a circumaural fit. This also increases detail and bass boost but you have to increase volume.

Detail has already been driven up by silver cables.
