I've had my LCD-2's for about a year with the stock cabling. Three months ago I went to a meet where I listened extensively on my rig to borrowed sets of 4 and 8 conductor Norse cables (the last with a balanced-to-unbalanced adapter). I concluded that both Norse cables were improvements over the stock cable.
But the cable I liked best, and ultimately purchased was the Q-audio cable. Where it wins is on natural presentation of treble, and its fantastic ergonomics. So light and flexible that you don't even know that it's connected. After a month of using it, I went back to the stock cable for a week, and that simply confirmed my feeling that the Q-audio cable was noticeably better than stock.
Don't expect miracles. I really bought mine more for the ergonomics (and getting rid of microphonics from the stock cable). The slightly improved clarity and bass/treble improvements were just a bonus.
Hope this helps!
