dynaco pas volume and balance pots

i will be doing a mild modification to a dyna pas preamp . it is difficult to find a 750K balance pot. if i use a 500K pot will i
experience any detremental effects?
also using a 100k volume pot in place of the 250k original
in conjunction with the 500k balance, any issues?
