Panasonic has lowered its German MRSP to only 180 Euros - this is the most affordable player ever.Although it does not quite match its pre-predecessor DVD-RA71 (91 in the U.S.) when it comes to DVD Audio playback - bass and treble are somewhat limited -, reviewers praise its hi-rez quality as "outstanding" with a wide frequency range. It really turned the test room into a concert hall. CD is played back with an excellent large soundstage. This multiformat machine (DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, JPEG CD, HighMAT, S/VCD, MP3) comes equipped with progressive scan (NTSC), component video out, Dolby Digital and dts decoders. Video playback is of excellent quality as well - brilliant, three-dimensional, natural motion and natural colors.
