I have them all. The Villa Lobos and the Khachaturian Gayne are the top choices for best sound and performances. Then I would recommend the Tchaikovsky No. 5, Pines/Fountains of Rome, or the Shostakovich No. 9.

The London recordings (LSO) tend to have better sound that the US recordings. The only real clunker is the Khachaturian Piano Concerto.
