video connection buzz

I have connected a universal disc player to my system for the first time and notice a slight "buzz" heard through the speakers when I connect the S-video cable to my "television". The buzz is only audible if I stand within two feet of my loudspeakers, but now that I know it's there, I'd like to find a way to remove it. (if I disconnect the S-video cable, it goes away, but disconnecting and re-connecting this cable will grow tiresome in short order)

I don't want to use a transformer on the audio outputs of the player, which I know will work, but a transformer that won't degrade the sound is going to be pretty expensive.

How do you folks eliminate the buzz caused by a video connection through your sound systems?

Thanks.
