Re: Backing Up Unprotected DVD-A Disks

If the disc has a file with the extension MKB, then you cannot back it up.
If the disc has watermarked audio, you can copy it, but it will cut out after a certain time to silence.

For a totally unprotected (IE Home Made) disc, just turn it into an ISO file, and that's it done.
Unless it is a Dual Layer disc. In which case you need to be certain it is not a PTP mastered disc (All mine are, it's the way I create them) or else you will not be able to make a copy that is glitch free at the layer break.
To check for PTP or not, look in the disc properties with an application like GEAR Pro Mastering Edition.

Most DVD-A are Dual Layer.
