I assumed (incorrectly) that it is similar to Panasonic's lower-end models, such as their current lower-end DVD recorders. But the DVD-CP72 is a middle-of-the-line unit with a full six analog audio outputs. The owners manual for the DVD-CP72 does not tell you which audio mode is supported for DVD-A.
