Martin, you have it a little backwards it is Charles (and now Frank) that should lighten-up and back-off.

He has put Christine on the defensive for no good reason. And she appears to be at least 99% correct.

No Christine hold to your guns, especially since what you are saying measures reality of how HDCD sounds.

All HDCDs I have sound better HDCD decoded than not. Could there be phoney HDCDs out there that do not deserve the HDCD designation?

Also Charles if the a disc does not require HDCD decoding it is not an HDCD and the HDCD light that comes on is in error because they used an HDCD encoder incorrectly.
