All HDCDs I have sound better HDCD decoded than not. Could there be phoney HDCDs out there that do not deserve the HDCD designation?
Also Charles if the a disc does not require HDCD decoding it is not an HDCD and the HDCD light that comes on is in error because they used an HDCD encoder incorrectly.
