My 2 cents: It's a fantastic multichannel recording on DVD-Audio. Maybe your Panny's lack of DVD-A time-alignment is doing it a complete disservice in multichannel.
And now that you have all those m-ch power amps, there's really no excuse for not having a decent DVD-A / universal player! How about the Denon DVD-A1XV? Methinks that calibre of player would do the rest of your system justice.
