RE: Bose acquires McIntosh and Sonus faber

not withstanding the comments above,

This is a really bizarre occurrence -

Bose has been well described as a marketing company masquerading as an audio manufacturing outfit.

Both McIntosh and SF have had high and low points in their runs as previously independent companies, and even a reasonably well received run as a combined unit - sort of....

But when the Hedge fund boyz get bored, and sell to the S&M Boyz (sales & marketing) I do not anticipate any product improvements -
(Blue Meters on speakers anyone?)

I have some old McIntosh equipment that is in need of some updates, which are scheduled...
I have always wanted a pair of SF speakers - but never had the cash and opportunity coincide...

I doubt I would buy any of the products in the future,
even with out the restrictions associated with cost.
