Nice call, Mark.

Something concerned me in Jay Jay French's article on the demise of Lyric. He brings up a customer of Lyric's that purchased a 150K system to play Grateful Dead bootlegs on a Sanyo cassette recorder. I could be reading it wrong, but this is presented by the author as some type of aberration, or worse, a cause for derision.

It's kind of a problem for our community that we are not more inclusive of different musical tastes, be that rap, lounge, death metal or old Dead bootlegs. I thought the hobby was about putting together folks who love music with gear that enhances their connection to it.

Hey, if folks that liked these kinds of musical genres were welcomed into the community more readily the death spiral might be slowed. Not everyone wants to listen to Krall and Barber thankfully.
