RE: Given that speakers need high efficiency - IE both high impedance and high sensitivity

I liked that speaker but therein lies some of the problem as a reviewer who owns a 12 watt amp. I want to be fair to the product I review and a 12 watt amp won't cut it.

On the other hand I really don;t want to spend $5,000 on a high watt power amp that I don't really love in order to a review a Low Efficiency loudspeaker - especially when that $5,000 I would rather spend on an 8 watt 2a3 amp I really love.

So I am a bit more understanding/forgiving of the TAS reviewers who accept long term loans on their gear.

The alternatives is to only have millionaires writing reviews - but then do most of them know what it's like to live on a budget?

Pure Audio Progect can be driven off low power but then their speakers cost triple the Spatial speakers. So either way you spend gobs.
