I have

I use measurements + ears to optimize loudspeaker positioning. With my last few speakers, I've measured them new out of the box, and then let them play on a repeat loop for anywhere from a couple days to a week, coming back to them once a day or so until the sound doesn't seem to be changing much. I did have a pair of Wilson Benesch speakers whose measured tweeter response from 10-20 KHz was poorly matched when brand new and floated up and down so much initially that I was worried they were defective (up to +/- 5 dB overnight!). They did settle down and stop changing after a few days of continuous plating, although they were still not a great pair match above 10 KHz.
