I bought two speakers based on very good reviews. I found them no good after bringing them home. They were famous names so chances of they being of poor quality control was remote even though both were made in China. The problem could have been the source and amp that I was using. The reviewer had sources like Mark Levinson but I had a low end NAD.
Now, I want to buy a Harbeth P3ESR because of the great 'affection' shown by reviewers. But I have only a humble NAD to drive it with. My point is that there is a labrynth of equipments where one can easily get lost if reviews are followed. I dont think the reviewers have the time or the will to guide the prospective buyers though this maze to salvation.
Cheers
Bill
