RE: Interesting article on blind testing.

For me the most interesting quote from the article is:

"the real answer, though, lies not so much in the actual sound that is produced, but more with some intangible interaction between the player and the instrument"

With musical instruments the "feel" and feedback between the instrument and the player is far more important than its sound to listeners. The listeners are just all along for the ride. The interaction between the player and the instrument is where the rubber meets the road AND where the difference between a $5,000 and $50,000 and $500,000 instrument matters most.
