to tame a classical recording that could have used the 'tilt' control kal mentioned. in 1.5 years, that was the ONLY time i used the eq. i welcomed my arc back into the system (it also has tone controls) and havent adjusted the tone since.if you obsess about every minor glitch in every recording, you can drive yourself nuts instead of enjoying music.
