I think it's hilarious when I read a review in Stereophile

about "budget" and "entry level" gear. Usually it's for gear that is considered very expensive by almost everybody else.
An example is when they reviewed the Rogue Atlas. They kept making excuses for its performance because it was inepensive and entry level. I have one and I consider it to be expensive at $1500 w/cover.
I guess when you play with megabuck components all day, $1500 is chump change.
My ex certainly considered my gear to be too expensive. It's one of the main reasons she left.
By the way I'm selling my Krell, Threshold and Klyne gear (all purchased new) as I finally have buyers. Why? My lowly Atlas, Quicksilver Mini Monos and QS LSP blow them away at a fraction of the price.
Thank God for lowly budget gear!
