To their credit it would appear that Stereophile has no intention of entering into a public mud-slinging match with posters in response to repeated accusations and subsequent posts (here) by very energetic conspiracy theorists.What's more Stereophile appears to have no interest in entering into altercations with the more vocal proponents of the hang him high posse. Take BJH, he didn't pull his punches and even declared fowl play when he wrongfully thought JA and Charles Hansen were talking about free cables when in fact they were talking about review samples. Yet JA responded kindly to BJH regarding some Myrtle blocks.
Mind you I'm not naive enough to expect all representatives from Stereophile to be getting along like kissing cousins with the more rabid posters. I'd simply like to see a level of professionalism when it comes to the public face the hobby projects, be it the press corps, manufacturers and for that matter the hobbists. In that regard, again... Kudos to Stereophile.
