Dear JDarby,Just like you, I would rather not go into the discussion that the moderator deemed inappropriate, as I respect the request to cease discussing my specific issue. I think you were right by raising a broader issue.
I would like to discuss a bit the emotional side - when someone with power threatens you it feels quite frightening, and frankly it made me feel that I have nowhere to go. Like many other manufacturers, my company is rather small, and does not have the resources to solve problems through the court system. Thus, the feeling is sometimes that of despair.
Forums like this one can help by leveling the field a bit. While I don't feel that they can actually solve the problem, they can remind figures of power that others also have a voice, and eventually I think this would help reduce such incidents rather than create them.
