most records are recorded much better than folks give em credit for. there are AMAZING sounds on conventional LPs and CDs which gives me pause before paying exorbitant amounts for premium vinyl or digital products.

XRCDs are one of my pet peeves (nearly $30 for the quality we deserved the first time around) and before everybody thought the had to charge $50 for reissue vinyl, things werent so bad. i, for one, THINK before i dump big money on such overpriced items.

ok, i paid 50 for the 2LP midnight sugar, and it IS spectacular but i am NEVER gonna find this in the dollar bins at record surplus or amoeba (although i did find a $1 copy of the RR 'star of wonder' at amoeba in xlnt cond).

so back to the Q at hand-do i miss audiophile vinyl after not playing it for a long while, not much. its the music i am after and its not all on 200g virgin vinyl.
