Re: British periodicals...

I have read about British automotive publications that they receive relatively larger amounts of ad revenue from local dealers as opposed to manufacturers, and that this leaves the magazines less vulnerable to loss of revenue from offended advertisers (manufacturers). This would seem to make sense, since the revenue is spread out among many more sources, each of which has less vulnerability to unfavorable reviews, especially if more than one brand is repesented.

Perhaps this scenario also applies to British audio magazines?
