...are always quoted per pair, as far as I can recall. I would consider any other policy to be moderately asinine.As in, a shoe store that posted prices, then informed customers that the marked sum was *per shoe* ("Oh? You mean that you wanted to purchase *two* shoes?"), would have trouble, plenty quick. And rightly so.
I do doff my hat to any monophonic listeners in the crowd, of course....
