RE: Hum on FPIII - A Definitive Troubleshooting Checklist

If the system was hum free before the move, and you didn't bang anything hard enough to loosen a connection, then it will work in the new place, too! First thing I'd try is make sure all the components operating at the same ground level. If the grounds are showing even a slight difference relative to each other, can create a ground loop, which it sounds like you might have. Do you have a computer plug with several inputs? try plugging everything into that. Also, try lifting the ground on each component separately by using an adapter (3-hole into 2-hole) to id trouble. One other thing, make sure the grounds in the house/apt are properly connected and give a nice ground. This can be frustrating, but you'll get it eventually. Good luck!
