weelllll.....

i picked those up at a garage sale for 20 bucks over the summer, and refinished the cabs so that they looked decent in the living room.

as far as sound, they definitely have some dips in their frequency response (from listening to music with a ranging bassline). this may be from the previous owner's use, who told me that i'd better have a huge amp ("one of them systems that's not all put together in one piece [best buy]") to drive them because they can really shake the walls down.

needless to say, i'm sure they're not in prime working condition, and when i get some time i'll try to get some info off the speaker forum and go through them to see what the deal is.

any suggestions on the "proper" way to repair a rip (not a hole) in a woofer cone would be most helpful, as well as any suggestions on how to give them a shakedown would be most helpful.
