Hi,
thank you for your warm words!
Beside the methods to make the wideband drivers able to climb to higher frequencies and show a proper self roll- off without any crossover- parts the Bastanis speakers follow a simple design- philosophy based on wellknown physics - keep everything as simple as possible and do everything in highest possible standards.
Many parts do different jobs, so for example the paralleled resistors (between plus and minus)flatten the impedance which is recommended for tubed amps.
Second the resistors avoid non- linearities inbetween the series- wired drivers on the Atlas- style open baffles (two wideband drivers per side). The third is that the resistors take away some energy in the upper midrange to help the drivers producing a flat amplitude.
The more simple a design, the less number the parts, the more complexed are any changes and the more important is the quality of any part.
Regards,
Robert Bastani
