Hi,
the cap of the Firebird`s tweeter are wired out of phase related to the widebands because by this method the drivers act in- phase in the crossover- region. The areas of the wideband drivers cones and the areas on the tweeters where the sound comes from in the crossover- region show different distances to the listener and the inverted phase of the tweeters brings the tweeter back in phase with the wideband driver.
The Firebirds come with Bastanis caps for Firebird, the value is 1,8uF. This is the right value, other values will give different crossover- points.
Regards,
Robert Bastani
