RE: Output Transformer for 3.1 Dac

I completed my DIY DAC 5 recently using AN UK PCB's (digital, high voltage, filament supply and analog PCB). It's stunning machine. Only the best parts were used throughout (BG WKZ and VK, AN tantalums, AN silver mylar caps, silver wire). 12au7 and 6463 tubes are used in output. Mains transformers are original AN. At first I used AN's Super Hi-B copper transformers but it always felt like it might sound better. Two weeks ago I installed Lundahl LL1689 with amorphous core in place of AN transformers. Result is much better sound. Better definition of each note, agility and transparency are the main points where Lundahl is better. All this for 3X less money.
AN transformers really sound good, but there are better transformers out there for less money. I am planning to upgrade my 300B monoblock amplifiers with something from Lundahl.
