Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking that may be the case. I read Lion and the new processors are using memory and the faster chips to better use, so maybe that will negate the integer obsession of the audiophiles?

What DAC are you using? And what converter? I think Brian is looking at a better inboard USB solution for the new kits. I think though, that it is best to let the client source an outboard. Most of the sub 4k DACs have poor USB implementations from what I have read. I guess they can't provide leading edge SQ on all inputs due to frantic marketing budgets / profits.

The budget DAC for PC audio market is VERY hot right now.
