RE: Ripp Flac files and dump the CDP??

What is the best way to do this. The Mac Mini has a Toslink out, would then go into the BNC of the AN DAC? Or into the Coax RCA (I have AN-V RCA Coax).

I am pondering ripping my whole CD collection as Flac files, to have the convienience of computer use.

Also, could I output from my CEC 51 CDP (digi out) into a Mac Mini as digital info to ripp?

How are you guys ripping your CDs to Flac? Are you using the plastic 20 dollars CD drive inside a Mac or PC, or using your bette built CDPs digi out?

I think I really need to try it ut to believe CDs ripped on a cheapo computer CD drive are going to be better than the original CD? Nice idea though!
