In my experience a power cord makes a difference, and you make your own for roughly $75 buying from Parts ConneXion. I recently completed a DAC 4.1LE, ran it for about 40 hours, then transfered my DH Labs cord with hospital grade male plug and Marinco IEC female plug. Hmm, it seemed to sound better, then when I read the post about cords being a waste of money, I spent some time going back and forth to the 15 Amp molded cord that originally came with my subwoofer amp. Music through the better cord is more alive. I also use hospital grade receptacles, more DH Labs power cords, HI FI Tuning fuses, and home built AC filters for my whole system.
