Yes - you are right there are not really enough pics of the kit2.
Since I took over the kit business in January we have had only a few requests for the kit2 - lots of requests for kit1s however. I bought two complete Kit2's from AudioNote and my plan (when I have time) has been to put one together. It basically looks exactly like the kit1 except the 300B tubes are replaced with 6550's.I personally have not heard one but am very curious because the Harmon Kardon tube amp that I grew up listening to was 6550 based and it moved my soul!
I put out an enquiry on the forum recently to get some feedback from any kit2 owners and I got one response from a customer who loved his kit2
So we definately need to build and test one out on this end and I would be very interested in selling one of the kit2's to a customer so that we can get some good feedback. I would like to have a kit2 built and tested on this end in the next 2 months and then we could post some pics on the website.
I have noticed that the Kit2 manual has been very well written and the design has just two PCB's instead of the 3. It came out after the kit1 so I think AudioNote made some improvements to this kit over the kit1.
Thanks for your feedback and I will get the Kit2 the attention it deserves over the next few months
Regards
Brian
