Very nicely written review, thanks. I had previously owned the 8200 MKI and unfortunately I had hastily traded it in for another amp. After it had replaced my Denon receiver, I just could not get use to that sweet and very natural treble the Plinius was presenting. It was the first time I’ve gotten into high-end and "non-tizzy" sound was new to me. I thought it was just too warm sounding. Of course little did I know back then that what I was hearing was just what music was suppose to sound like, music without any artificially exaggerated (digital) treble. Anyway, if I had kept it long enough (I only had it for a month or less) I would now be in heaven with the (magic) 3D soundstage and superb channel separation that the Plinius amps are known for. Not that I am not happy with what I got now, I am VERY content, but I still miss the 8200. So stick with yours and I am sure the more you listen to it the more its sound will grow on you.Best.
