I agree with morricab that, if you want new tubes, the cryo-treated 6H23-EB tube is probably the best. However, if you are willing to take a chance on used tubes, you should try the Amperex 6DJ8 or its variants. They are the most neutral, in my experience, and can usually be found on Audiogon or ebay. Definitely worth a try.
