Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

My Classe CA300 occasionally drops out the right channel. I am able to restore it by flicking the REGULAR/BALANCED switch on the rear of the amp. I figure the problem is in the relay or relays that are controlled by this switch. I am going to try to bypass these relays by going directly from the balanced input jacks to the input buffer section. I know this will eliminate the ability to run it as a mono bridged amp, but in the 28 years I've had the amp, I have never needed to bridge it. I plan on using Kimber Cable hook-up wire (black/red/blue) to do this.
Does anyone know if there would be any problems I haven't anticipated in doing this?
