I've had 300B SETs and still own 45 SET mono blocks with all of 2 watts at best. I love them; however, you have to have the right speakers, typically horns with sensitivities over 100bd and preferably about 105db.
The other issue of concern is that the amps have to be dead quiet. With just the slightest hum that wouldn't be noticeable at all with typical 87-90db speakers, that hum will sound like a loud buzz on 105db speakers.
Anyway, Decware has a good reputation.
