RE: Headphone/Speaker Out from Cathode Follower Preamp

Notice that in the link you provide that headphone output was done properly: there is galvanic isolation between the headphones and the amp. That's the reason he used an output transformer: the high voltage in the amp is isolated from the headphones by the transformer. A capacitor is not safe. Follow the schematic you provided.
