Just What Is Wrong With a Crown CTs-600 ?

Can someone describe it to me ? They are unbelievably cheap for an amp that is 300 WPC, 3,000 damping and ridiculous low levels of distortion and frequency response out the ass ?

How bad can it be ?

It acts up thermal and before that sounds good to me, but then I don't have those ears. I just looked it up to see what it was worth because I want to know when to stop. Look on eBay, it is ridiculous low. And I mean sold units.

Really, are they too harsh or too much this or that ? It is not class D, there is no quantization or anything of the sort, or even an analog PWM chopper so there are no birdies.

Another thing, how does one find the MSRP of these older units ?

I might not have the ears but if you are giving out amps for less than a buck a watts you are either doing something right or doing something wrong.
