That's great! If tube rolling tailored the sound more to your liking - a very personal thing - then it was worth the investment.

When I had my tube CDP I tried a couple different NOS tubes that came highly recommended including Mullard and Telefunken. For me, the Mullard was warm and smooth but not very detailed or transparent. I preferred the Telefunken. Others swore by the Mullard in this CDP. It's a very personal choice and it's nice that tube rolling helps us get closer to our ideal.
