There are a few observations I have:
1. EI type step-up or step-down transformers have bandwidth limitations, which I generally find helpful (you can think of this as some bonus power line conditioning).
2. Some people will drastically oversize their step-up transformers, which will lead to higher than anticipated line voltages, which isn't so great (doesn't look like you've done that thankfully).
3. For non class A circuits, there may be a little additional voltage sag during transient peaks, but this is very unlikely to actually present a problem.
