Nice detailed review. Living in the DC area and being in the audio biz I got to see and hear Berning amps and meet David.I would take issue that image,location and soundstage come from HF material. Ive spent over 30 years trying to reproduce the biggest and best image using psycho acoustics and other things.
At the link below there is crazy good info with most of the info related to my points in the last one quarter of the links info.
I biamp and if I turn off the HF amp and my two way system crosses at 2.5K I lose no image cues or soundstage width or depth. Just HF extension.
