RE: Mark Levinson 335 Power Amp hum

I am assuming that you mean a hum from the amp itself and not a hum through the loudspeakers.

You say that it has only occured "lately" but is not very strong in intensity.

It sounds like the transformer is humming because of distortion on the incoming mains supply. Perhaps your utility supplier has recently made some kind of change or there is some other user locally causing the distortion?

Does it vary at different times of the day (or night)? Could you try the amp at another location not in your immediate locality? That may help confirm whether or not my suggestion is correct or not.
